In a rapidly changing economy, gold bars have been dropping in value. Last year, 25 gold bars could buy you a lunch. Now, the same lunch costs 40 gold bars. In addition to this, teachers are deciding not to issue gold bars as rewards. For instance, certain teachers have decided that students should not be receiving gold bars for things that they have already done. Our financial team has decided not to invest in gold bars as a form of currency, as they feel that it will not turn out to be a viable form of currency. They are beginning to ask questions such as "how can i turn my gold bars into real money" and the like. Overall, this currency is good for in-system transactions, but will not be practical for anything outside of the school. Because the market is rapidly changing, stay posted for more updates on the situation.
